Our mission is to create a positive, competitive, and character-building experience for every player and family. To ensure fairness, safety, and clarity for all involved, we ask that every family and player read and understand the following policies.
Players must meet age eligibility requirements as outlined by the KVBSA (Kensington Valley Baseball & Softball Association):
Players must be at or under the age of their team division as of May 1 of the current calendar year.
For example, to play on a 12U team, your player must be 12 years old or younger as of May 1 of that year.
If a player is found to be ineligible due to age misrepresentation, they may be removed from the roster at the discretion of league and team leadership.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise; however, due to the nature of team registration, field reservations, league fees, and uniform costs:
All fees are non-refundable once a player has accepted a spot on a team.
The only exception is if a team is dissolved or folded by the organization prior to the start of the season. In that case, a pro-rated refund may be issued depending on timing and incurred costs.
Please consider your commitment carefully before accepting a roster position.
The Slingshots organization plays in the KVBSA (Kensington Valley Baseball & Softball Association) and abides by all its rules and regulations.

All coaches, players, and parents are expected to understand and follow KVBSA guidelines, including those related to player eligibility, game play, conduct, and safety.
We believe sports are a tool for life lessons—respect, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. We expect all families to model good sportsmanship.
Players must attend practices and games regularly, give their best effort, and show respect to teammates, coaches, umpires, and opponents.
Parents/Guardians are expected to support their player and the team in a positive manner. Disruptive behavior toward players, coaches, or officials will not be tolerated.
Coaches will uphold the highest standards of mentorship and coaching, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Failure to adhere to these expectations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension from practices/games or removal from the team.
A non-refundable deposit is due upon accepting a roster spot.
Remaining fees are typically due in one or more installments, as outlined by team leadership.
Players may not be permitted to participate in games or receive uniforms until payment is up to date.
For questions about payment plans or hardship accommodations, please reach out to your team manager privately.
If a player is injured during the season:
We encourage parents to notify coaches immediately.
If an injury sidelines a player for more than 3 weeks, a doctor’s note may be required for return.
Refunds will not be issued due to injury, but the team will work to include the player in a supportive capacity whenever possible.
By participating in Slingshots activities, families grant the organization permission to use player photos/videos for promotional purposes, including our website and social media platforms.
If you do not wish your child to appear in any media, please notify us in writing.
We believe in proactive, transparent communication.
Team updates will be shared via email and/or group messaging platforms.
If you have a concern, we ask that you wait 24 hours before addressing it with a coach or manager, unless it is a safety issue.
Constructive conversations are welcomed and appreciated when conducted respectfully and through appropriate channels.
If you have any questions about the above policies, please contact us at danielle@semslingshots.com. Thank you for being part of our Slingshots family!
